Pesade was founded in Seoul in 2022 by the creative artist Mok Young-kyo, a great enthusiast and collector of perfumes who, struck by their ability to expand sensory perception, decided to explore their creative possibilities. The brand's name derives from the dressage technique of the same name, in which the horse raises its front legs and body to form a 45-degree angle with the ground. This movement symbolises the perfect harmony between power and balance, which is at the heart of Pesade's philosophy.

The fragrances are created with three fundamental values in mind: sensory harmony, philosophical depth and aesthetic refinement, combined according to Joongyong or the “doctrine of the mean” derived from Confucianism, which shows how true strength lies in the middle ground between extremes. The result is expressed in persistent but unobtrusive compositions whose notes are not organised according to the classic pyramid structure but along an olfactory string, an emotional arc in which each one is an essential part of the system.
Combined together, they create a balance that can also be found in the narrative structure of the brand, which divides the collection into four olfactory “chapters”, each consisting of three different thematically related fragrances that complement each other as distinct parts of a harmonious whole.
