Volupté Noire by Pierre Guillaume: the nectar of the gods, transformed into perfume

Fragrans in fabula presents Pierre Guillaume’s Volupté Noire, an olfactory interpretation of ambrosia, the mythical food of the gods.

Drawing inspiration from the Moroccan High Atlas highlands, where Euphorbia honey is harvested, the fragrance's name is derived from an exclamation in Charles Baudelaire's poem “À une madone”, which also inspired another fragrance in the collection. Volupté Noire shares its sweet yet animalistic nature with this fragrance, continuing its olfactory narrative. Like a ferocious panther lurking in the foliage with its honey-and-amber eyes piercing the darkness, the fragrance opens with an explosion of luminous bergamot, davana and Medjool date, revealing a floral heart of lime blossom, acacia and jasmine intertwined with the tannic scents of black oak. Euphorbia honey coats the fragrance in shadow, leaving a trail of musky ambrosia with animalistic and floral notes, like a feline's footprint.
