Thesaurus: A Tribute to True Wealth

Fragrans in fabula is pleased to present Thesaurus, the new creation from Calé Fragranze d’Autore.

Thesaurus, which in Latin means “treasure chest,” is a tribute to true wealth: the kind that grows within us over time, consisting not so much of material objects as of words, experiences, and knowledge. Just as human beings grow slowly, absorbing and nourishing themselves from their surroundings, so too do the raw materials of this fragrance mature in silence, protected by the earth, by roots, by the heart of the wood.

The three protagonists of the fragrance are iris, saffron, and sandalwood—raw materials that embody the very concept of treasure. Iris and saffron hide their essence in the rhizome, while sandalwood keeps its soul in the heart of the trunk and in the roots. Their nuances blend in a sensual and reassuring embrace. Iris, at once icy and buttery, lends elegance to the structure and represents the aspiration toward new experiences. Saffron, with its spicy, bittersweet, and metallic profile, lends character and refinement to the whole. Finally, Australian sandalwood, with its milky and velvety facets, brings depth and warmth to the composition, giving it a sense of stability.
