    Vanille de Tahiti is a combination of delicately sweet, warm and exotic notes where a potent and enveloping vanilla is enriched by floral tones of ylang-ylang and creamy nuances of champaca petals, for a narcotic and fascinating result. Gian Luca Perris gives center stage to the uniqueness of this vanilla: “I dreamt of giving a voice to the soft scent of the vanilla flower, different from the sweeter aroma typical of the vanilla more commonly used in perfumery. Thanks to the excellence of the raw materials selected, like this Tahintesis vanilla, I finally had the chance to realize my olfactory painting”.
    Originally coming from Central America, the plant of vanilla belongs to the family of orchids, it has the typical shape of a liana and it grows in the wet tropical forests. In Mexico it used to be mixed with chocolate to obtain aphrodisiac properties, while in Peru and Ecuador women used to rub it as balm under the arms and wore its pods as necklaces. Vanilla is a spice which is born thanks to a true act of love. The pollination process of the flower, artificialy induced by man, is in reality called "Marriage": delicate and wise gestures that only expert hands can perform. Several varieties of vanilla exist, the most vibrant of which is Vanilla Tahitensis. The fruit ripes directly, without the intervention of man, unleashing in a natural and spontaneous way the typical warm, exotic and sweet notes. The process of extraction of raw materials is innovative and modern. Tahitian Vanilla is not extracted with solvents, but through a more natural and less invasive process, known as supercritical CO2, preserving all the aromatic facets and the identity of its natural profile to guarantee an extremely pure extract. Its olfactory properties are unique. The captivating aroma of this powerful, intoxicating and exotic raw material bring to life the soft and oily texture of the vanilla pod.
