    Reliquia by Filippo Sorcinelli tells of a simply extraordinary place, rich in history and works of art, guardian of important relics of Christ Passion: the church of the Cross in Senigallia (Marche), considered one of the jewels of the Italian Baroque. Reliquia is the concrete trace, the last trace to describe in life an existence above us, different and prodigious. It is the closet that is always closed, the precious custody of sacred men that makes us understand that time is precious and that it risks being consumed without letting us leave a clear sign in life. It is the nail of the Passion, stratified and peated incense by the solemn, sacred years.
    Reliquia speaks of the gilded wood covered walls, finely decorated with carvings and reliefs. It speaks of the incensed steps towards the great high altar, like a golden embroidery, where the statue of the dead Christ is kept inside, a wooden work of the seventeenth century and visible only once a year. But it also wants to frame Federico Barocci's altarpiece, the Transport of Christ to the Sepulcher, one of the most beautiful works by the painter executed in 1582, and for which he also designed the frame. Reliquia is therefore a place to meet, to recall memory, to remember the time that passes and which gets solemn, authentic gold. A message of corruptibility and incorruptibility.
