Floris - Jermyn Street - Eau de Parfum - Private Collection
Classic and modern at the same time, Jermyn Street makes its debut with a whiplash of citrus and green notes combined with a persistent, intense, virile vetiver that pervades it from its first hints to the base notes. The whole is supported by a heart of juniper and a surprising contemporary splash of coriander, softened by amber, cedar wood and musk.
A tribute to Floris' family business environment for almost 300 years: its headquarters at 89 Jermyn Street and London. The fragrance evokes refined elegance made of class, style and discretion and wants to celebrate the originality and emotions typical of the neighbourhood, a small universe of enterprise and frenetic activity enriched by contributions from all over the British Empire that guaranteed new knowledge and great opportunities. The Floris Perfumer's thoughts therefore go to the copper stills of the distilleries and the notes of an excellent gin with a splash of lemon, the unmistakable aroma of Gin Tonic, the most British drink (and anti-malarial drug) by definition, which has hovered in London's Pubs and Clubs since the 18th century. At the heart of the fragrance is a subtle tribute to the traditional production of the best gin with juniper and coriander. The green notes recall the London Sycamore, London's most beloved tree, which still proudly stands in front of Floris's shop on Jermyn Street. Amber, cedar wood and musk represent the delicate scent of the fresh cotton used by the renowned shirt establishments growing in the street over the years, still an essential stop for exclusive and iconic British Style shopping today.
