In 2000 Gérald Ghislain, Master Perfumer with a past spent in the world of haute cuisine, created Histoires de Parfums, an Olfactory Library that tells stories of famous people, mythical years, poems and music. With his collection of fragrances he perpetuates the know-how of French Haute Parfumerie, the refinement of raw materials, nobility and creativity. When he creates his fragrances he is guided by his fervent imagination which follows no other rule than his free inspiration. Ghislain reinterprets the classic olfactory families by associating them with an unexpected and surprising component, to offer singular perfumes, with dense, persistent and extremely sensual notes. The creations in some cases recall the year of birth of characters who have gone down in history for their irreverence, in others they are inspired by painting or even take a cue with irony from the artist’s defects who loves to savor everything in life, with refinement, elegance and just the right touch of madness.
